** An oil whose scent ants dislike. If you need to open the ant farm lid, for example to remove waste, apply the anti-escape oil to the inside of the lid using a cotton swab, and no ants will run out.

The kit includes Messor structor harvester ants, which are ideal for beginners because they are undemanding while at the same time very interesting to observe.
Harvester ants exhibit pronounced polymorphism, meaning the ants have their own caste system-they differ in size, and each caste has its own duties.
The most important ant in the colony is the queen. The queen is the largest ant in the colony and is the mother of the entire colony.
You will also be able to observe the soldiers - ants with large mandibles. Soldiers protect the colony from possible dangers and also crack the seeds that the ants feed on.
The majority of the colony consists of worker ants and scouts, which work tirelessly, care for the queen and larvae, explore new territories, and carry waste out of the nest. Yes, ants really do remove all waste from the tunnels by themselves and place it in one location. Your only task is to remove this waste from time to time.
The kit also includes a one-year supply of food, so you won't have to worry about what to feed your new pets.
The average lifespan of a Messor structor queen is 10-15 years, which means this hobby is designed for the long term.
