10 Live Mealworm Larvae

A great source of protein for ants. Protein is essential for the queen to produce new offspring and for the larvae to grow.

Store the larvae in a dark place and avoid direct sunlight. They may also be stored in a refrigerator. At room temperature, the larvae will develop into beetles within 2-4 weeks, while refrigeration extends this process by approximately one additional month.

The larvae are supplied in an oat flake substrate and do not require any additional feeding.

If your ant colony is still small, feed the ants dead larvae. Only the larvae should be used as food; do not feed the beetles.

One larva is enough to feed a colony of up to 50 ants for approximately one week.
